Larry Blasius is the Founder and Principal of Blasius Media &
Marketing, providing consulting services to companies and individuals in
the advertising, entertainment, marketing, media and sports industries.
Before forming a consultancy practice in 2009, Larry spent thirty
years in advertising, most recently as Executive Vice President,
Director, Negotiations at MAGNA Global, a division of Interpublic and a
company he helped launch in 2001. At MAGNA, Larry provided
strategic direction and oversight of national television, radio and
associated digital purchases for one of the world's largest media
services firms.
Prior to MAGNA, Larry was SVP, Director, National
Broadcast for TN Media, a media specialist company of True North
Communications, where he oversaw the negotiation and maintenance of
national television and radio purchases for True North's national
broadcast buying group. While at TN, Larry crafted the comprehensive,
enduring sponsorship agreement for the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, the
first-ever BCS National Championship.
Larry began his career at Ted
Bates in 1979 as a media researcher and in 1980, joined Omnicom's BBDO
as a media planner. Larry then moved into media buying at BBDO, rising
to Vice President, Associate Director, National Broadcast. In 1989,
Larry joined Busch Media Group, then a division of Anheuser-Busch, as
Director, National Broadcast.
Larry was born and raised in New York City
and is a graduate of Columbia.
